Sporting an EIDE interface, this 48x CD-ROM drive is very spartan in construction and features. Supplied with the drive is an installation and user's manual, an audio cable that connects the analog audio out to the soundcard, an installation disk containing the DOS mode drivers and four Philips screws for securing the drive to the bay.
An IDE cable is also supplied with the drive. Spinning at a rate of 10,400 rpm, this drive features a 128 KB onboard buffer and supports horizontal and vertical drive usage. The motion of the drive tray was rather smooth and the build quality seemed sturdy.
With very stable performance and an affordable price, this is a very good choice for most home and office applications.
